Horse cutters Kimberley Gustafson and Tim Johnson, on the Alkali Creek Ranch. I was working on an assignment for The New York Times about cycling and stayed overnight on the ranch. After dropping my bags in my room, I headed out to catch the last hour or so of glorious Eastern Washington sun when I caught this moment with Kimberly and Tim, when all the elements came together.
